I've posted at many blogs, but this will be my first post on my own. I've allowed responses to my posts here, and welcome any and all input (within the rules of the site, of course). I look forward to hearing from any who will respond.
Let me begin this journey with an observation and a question.
Just before the recent Media Matters attacks on Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh, there was a lot of negative news about Hillary and her campaign in the media. She was too scripted and stiff. She was in a dead heat with Obama in Iowa and losing ground elsewhere. Her new health care offensive wasn't flying outside of Democrat circles. She was in trouble with the left because of her stance on the war in Iraq. She was in trouble with the general population because she had attacked and verbally abused an outstanding and honest general in Senate hearings on the war and because she had failed to denounce Moveon.org and their "Betray us" ad in the NY Times.
All of which talk and reporting disappeared and has not rematerialized... since the opening salvo of Media Matters against O'Reilly and then their full broadside against Rush. Both of which attacks were specious at best, but more likely than not, were deliberately deceitful and coordinated.
Was this planned? Was Hillary involved? She helped found and still supports Media Matters.
And now that a national poll shows her with a 33 point lead over Obama, did it work as a distractor and give her a possible boost up when she signed Harry Reid's letter condemning Rush?
Is the poll to be believed or is it another tool of her campaign - like Media Matters appears to be?
